Top seed Annie Au, Rachael Gringham, Rowan Elaraby and Sivasangari Subramaniam defeated their opponents to book their place in the semi finals of CAS International Women Squash Championship being played at Mushaf Squash Complex xx1toto, Islamabad. In the first quarter final, top seed Annie Au brushed aside Hana Moataz (Egy) in a one sided match (11/2, 11/2, 11/8 ) which lasted for 15 minutes only.
The second quarter final was played between Rowan Elaraby (Egy) and Mayar Hany (Egy) which was won by Rowan Elaraby with the game score of 2/11, 11/7, 11/5, 11/3. The match lasted for 21 minutes. The third quarter final was played between Rachael Gringham (Aus) and Nadine Shahin (Egy). Both the players played exquisite game of squash however Rachael Gringham managed to win the match with the game score of 11/4, 9/11, 12/10, 11/7 in 41 minutes.
The fourth quarter final was a close contest between Sivasangari Subramaniam (Mas) and Hania El Hammamy (Egy). Hania won the first game with the game score of 11/8 but her Malaysian rival came back in the match and won the nail biting second game with the game score 14/12. She consolidated her grip on the match by winning the third game with the game score 12/10. The fourth game was also close one but the Malaysian managed to win the game with the game score 11/9. The match lasted for 54 minutes.
