LAHORE: A six-member sports delegation from China visited Nishtar Park Sports Complex and held a detailed meeting with Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan at Punjab Stadium on Monday.
The delegation was comprised of Mr Wang Lei, Mr Wang Weiwei, Mr Li Jun, Mr Li Haibin, Mr Lin Yang and Ms Cui Chuping.
During their meeting, Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan and Chinese delegation discussed ways and means to promote sports relations between the two countries.
Talking to delegation, Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan said Pakistan and China had long and durable friendly relationships. “Both the countries have cooperated with each other in every field during the last several decades. We will continue to collaborate with China in future as well. It’s the only way to tackle different kinds of challenges. Pakistan and China can cope with all future challenges by working together,” he asserted.
Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan said China had a respectable repute in the sports world and Pakistani athletes can also win several laurels at international level by following Chinese techniques.
Director Admin Javed Rasheed Chohan briefed the delegation about sports infrastructure and Punjab’s achievements in sports field. The members of Chinese delegation visited various sports venues including National Hockey Stadium, State of the Art Tennis Stadium, Swimming Pool and Gymnasium Hall etc.
After witnessing all facilities, Chinese delegation praised Sports Board Punjab’s venues and sports infrastructure. “Sports Board Punjab did a wonderful job for the promotion of sports in the province,” they said.
