Seventeen-year-old Mumbai’s Jemimah Rodrigues has been named in the Indian women’s squad for the three-match ODI series against South Africa in Kimberley (Feb. 5 and 7) and Potchefstroom (Feb. 10).
The team will play a warm-up game at Bloemfontein on February 2.
This series will be the start of the ICC Women’s Championship (2017-20) for India.
Jemimah has been in sublime form this season, amassing 1013 runs from 11 matches in the women’s under-19 one-day league and knock-out.
She has also scored six centuries.
A BCCI press release said that the Indian team for the five-match Twenty20 series against South Africa will be selected later.
