KARACHI: The KFC- Karachi Premier League, which will be starts from the 28Th of march here at the Naya Nazimabad Hussain Lawai Cricket Stadium.This was announced in a media briefing Chairman KFC- Karachi Premier League Moiz Bin Zahid with Abid Akhtar Khan (CEO),
former first class cricketer and Chief coodrinator Taufeeq Tirmizi, former president KCCA and Chief Secretary tournament Siraj Ul islam Bukhari and former test cricketer and Director Tournament Iqbal Qasim at the Karachi Gymkhana on wednesday.
the winner of the event will cash Rs.500,000 while the runner up will receive Rs.2,5000. others individual prizes will announced latter. A total of six team will participate in wich F.B Area, Malir Dolfins, Gulshan Stallions, Cliffton Lions, North Hawks and Johar Bears.
tournament.The matches will be organized on single league basis and all the matches will be of 20 overs each innings while the qualifiers 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 will meet in the next round on aprail 4.the final of which will be contested between the winner of the both aualifyer on aprail 5th at Naya Nazimabad Ground.
on the opening day the league matches will be plyaed in the first match at 12:pm F.B Area will face Malir Dolfins, 2nd match at 4:pm Gulshan Stallions will take Cliffton Lions and 3rd match at 8:pm North Hawks will meet Johar Bears.
Chairman KPL Moiz Bin Zahid added that” We are excited to take this initiative to organized this unique event for the youth and Geo Super will live telecast all the matches. my main objective is fined the new telent and promoted the yougsters, we have seen lot’s of telented plyares they. came all of the area’s from the karachi during the open trials we did. they will serve to city and the Pakistan in future. I am pretty sure my selection comittee tried to make all six participated teams should take the challenges and delivered against eache others.
Moiz further added we are looking forward to having more proactive role in cricket in future. will continue this event on yearly basis He thanked the our official platinium partner KFC for sponsoring the event with official media partner Geo super, official Radio partner apna karachi 107 and Naya Nazimabad as official ground partner.we also thanked the all media to attend the press conference.
