Punjab wins Nurpur 2nd Para National Taekwondo Championship

Lahore:-Nurpur 2nd Para National Taekwondo Championship 2018 concludes with the outstanding victory of Punjab Para Taekwondo Team on Friday 27th of April, 2018 at WAPDA Sports Complex, Indoor Hall, Ferozpur Road, Lahore. Para Taekwondo Teams of Sindh, KPK, Baluchistan, Punjab and other affiliated units participated in the event organized by Para Wing of Pakistan Taekwondo Federation and Punjab Taekwondo Association under the leadership of Col. Waseem Janjua.

Punjab Para Team stood first, Sindh secured second position and Baluchistan got third position. One hundred and twenty (120) special athletes contested for 25 Gold, 25 Silver and 50 Bronze Medals in this Mega Event of Para Taekwondo.

More than 20 clubs participated in Taekwondo demonstration competition.

Alizer Iqbal stood the best player of the event and has been selected to represent Pakistan in Asian Para Championship in May 2018 at Vietnam.

Iftikhar Ahmed Tabassum Chairman Pakistan Taekwondo Federation enjoyed the marvelous demonstration performance of players and gave away medals and trophies among the winning teams and players.
