Peshawar:-On Friday 11th May International Badminton Coach Raziuddin Ahmad visited Peshawar and met with Junaid Khan Director General Khyber Pakhtunkhaw Sports Board regarding the development of badminton at real grass root level and to train the coaches too. DG Junaid Khan said that the KPK Sport Board is keen to promote all sports in the province and badminton is one of them. He applauded the competency of Raziuddin Ahmad as an international coach and interest to visit KPK for the promotion of game. KPK Sports Board will support all such activities
Murad Ali the Director National Book Foundation and the Secretary General of Badders Badminton Club welcomed to Raziuddin Ahmad along with junior under – 15 players of Razi Badminton Academy Rawalpindi (RBAR) in his office where DG KPK Junaid Khan presented Holy Quran to the whole contingent and joined at lunch. Registrar High Court Lahore Mirza Abdul Hafeez and Khalid Mehmood Janjua Director Events of Razi Badminton Academy offered souvenirs of the academy to DG Junaid Khan and Murad Ali Director (NBF) respectively.
In the evening session at Hayatabad Sports Complex the international coach delivered a lecture to large number players (Male & Female) and coaches from Peshawar, Sawabi, Mardan and Charssadah. Asad Ghaffar Joint Secretary Badders Club and national coach Raiz Khan assisted to Raziuddin in demonstration. Razi delivered tips on the principles of training, three basic strokes of badminton, Designed Practice, Footwork, Concept of Multi feeding shuttlecocks and Diet plan.
Further the junior players of Razi Badminton Academy, Amer Janjua, Mubariz Bukhari, Mahad Bukhari, Kamal and Ahmad Mirza played friendly matches against Hayatabad players and won.
Raiz Khan national coach stated that it is a matter of great pleasure that an international coach visited Hayatabad for the first time, his knowledge and guidance in different aspects of the game will definitely improve the standard of the game. Expressing views Murad Ali Director NBF said the tour of Raziuddin Ahmad will prove to be a mile stone towards the betterment of badminton in the region. Senior player Shafiq Khan thanked to the international coach for his precious time and visit for KPK badminton community.
Raziuddin Ahmad International Badminton Coached expressed gratitude to the Director General KPK Sports Board for taking interest in the promotion of badminton in the province and he offered his services any time for KPK Sports Board in this regard.
