Micky Arthur proves the value and importance of top class leadership

The current visiting cricket team to England is the weakest Pakistan team in the history of Pakistan cricket. There is not a single superstar, there is not a single player who could hold in world eleven. – The best bowler is Mohammad Aamir who only have 100 test wickets. There are 5 uncapped players in the team who never played test cricket before. – On the other hand, England has Anderson and Broad combined 1100 test wickets ( over 500 each). – Alastair Cook and J Root are world class batsmen. -When team arrived, all cricket pundits predicted, this will be a white washed series.

Despite all odds and being so mediocre, Pakistan beat England in England at Lords test with 9 wickets. Despite this is one test victory, in test cricket winning one test in England is huge and considered very significant. –

Pakistan’s recent success in test cricket and last year winning the champion trophy in England ( another land mark tournament) was “mainly” due to Micky Arthur, which proves the value and importance of top class leadership. He is so instrumental in keeping the team to focus on the game, discipline, professional ethics and above all play like one unit, as opposed to play selfish ( as we have seen in the past). – He threw the dirty political players away who had hold the team as hostage.

Role of leadership is always important for nations. – Just imagine, a team with mediocre players can beat England in England, what is going to happen if this nation would find a real leader who could lead this nation from front? – Leadership is always the capacity to translate vision into reality.- At the moment, Pakistan need Micky Auther at national level.
