KARACHI: A brilliant contribution of 37 from Kashif Iqbal and equally excellent bowling by Yasir Hussain and Touheed Khan enabled Agha Steel seal a 21-run victory over Soni Associates in the 31st Aga Khan Ramazan T20 Cricket Tournament tie at the Aga Khan Gymkhana Ground here on Monday .
Agha Steel’s second success win in Group ‘C’ with 4 points finished as a group runner while Qasmi CC group leader with all 6 points victory was made possible by Asad who struck three fours and two sixes during a 23-ball innings of 37 to help his team collect 158-8 in 20 overs.
Umair yousuf hit four boundaries in making a 29-ball 36 runs as he and Asad added 63 for the six wicket, Sharyar Ghani countributed 19 runs.
Spinners Arif Yaqoob took 2-22 and Ali Iqbal took 2- 39.
Soni Associates, in reply, were restriced for 137-6 in 20 overs. with Shahid Mirani making 35 run a ball with three fours . Arif Yaqoob scored 30 in 22 balls with two sixes, Faizan Hussain made 19.
Off-spinner Yasir Hussain finished with excellent figures of 2-15 in 2.5 overs, slow left-armer Touheed khan claimed two for 29.
