PESHAWAR, May 22
Charsadda and Jaffar Shah Athletic Academy clinched the titles of the ongoing Floodlight Ramadan Games being played on different venues here on Wednesday.
Deputy Director Sports Aziz Ullah Khan and Director Development Niamat Ullah graced the occasion as guests. Director Games Zakir Ullah, Secretary KP Athletic Association Syed Sultan Shah, former international athlete Syed Jaffar Shah, coach Zafran Afridi, Zia Jan were also present.
There were hundreds of spectators who enjoyed the thrilling Kabaddi and athletic events played here at Qayyum Sports Complex. In the Kabaddi final Charsadda recorded victory against strong Mardan at 40-38. Both Charsadda and Mardan players exhibited classic display.
In the athletic continued for five days, Jaffar Shah Academy secured the overall trophy by obtaining 95 points, Charsadda Athletic Academy of Zia Jan took runners-up trophy with 87 points and MS Academy of Islamia College of Muhammad Shah got third position with 67 points.
In the last day events Bilal Academy Charsadda took first position in 4X100 with the team members comprising Shaoib Khan, Huizaifa, Hilal Khan and Usama, followed by MS Academy with Shaoib Khan, Afanan Khan, Waqas and Samin Khan while Asad Academy Swabi took third position, the team comprising Abdul Arif, Qasim, Subhan and Nouman.
In the Shatal Mix Relay Jaffar Shah won first position, followed by Muhammad Shah Academy and Charsadda took third position. In the 4X200m relay Junior Adad Academy Junior won first position, followed by Muhammad Shah Academy and JS Academy. In the 800m race Abdur Rehman got first position, followed by Murad Ali and Ahmad Shah.
