Pakistan beat India to lift World Snooker title


DOHA: Pakistan defeated India 3-1 to lift the IBSF Snooker World Team Cup 2019 title in Qatar on Tuesday.
The pair of Asjad Iqbal and Muhammad Bilal outclassed Team India’s Pankaj Advani and Laxman Rawat 3-1 in the final.
The Indian team was outplayed by Pakistan who won the first two frames. The Indian team, however, bounced back to win the third frame before Pakistan made a comeback to take the crown home.
Earlier, Pakistan beat hosts Qatar 3-1 while India defeated Ireland 3-2 in their semi-final clash.
Last week, the Pakistan 2 team comprising Babar Masih and Zulfiqar Qadir defeated Indian 3-2 in the final of the Asian team snooker championship in Doha.
