Serena Williams shares heartfelt message for her daughter

For powerhouse athlete Serena Williams, all the trophies in the world do no compare to the joys of motherhood.

Wishing her two-year-old daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr, on her birthday, the tennis star shared a throwback picture on Instagram of her cradling the newborn. Underneath it she wrote: “The last 2 years have been my greatest accomplishment.”

Since her daughter’s birth, Williams has been open and frank about her struggle with striking a balance between professional and personal life.

This year though, more than one celebration may be in order as Olympia’s superstar mom advances to the quarterfinals of the US Open as well.
