Sri Lankan star Danushka Gunathilaka has expressed his gratitude for the hospitality being shown to him and his teammates in Pakistan, also revealing that “mutton biryani” is his favourite from all that the local cuisine has to offer.
“Our stay in Pakistan is going very well and we are being hosted very nicely,” said Gunathilaka, who has been one of the finds of the tour for Sri Lanka.
When asked if he’s liking the local food, he replied in the affirmative, adding that “it’s amazing, very good”.
Gunathilaka, whose half century was pivotal in Sri Lanka beating Pakistan in the first T20I on Saturday, then revealed that he’s a fan of Pakistani “mutton biryani”.
The left-handed batsman, who had reportedly shown some reservations at touring Pakistan, made the disclosure while visiting the newly installed gallery in the far end corridor of the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
He expressed satisfaction with his own performance during the tour and said that his team would try their best to win the second T20I on Monday and wrap up the series.
