LAHORE : Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh has said that Sports Board Punjab will continue to provide sufficient opportunities to young talented players with the collaboration of sports associations; he said this while addressing the prize distribution ceremony of PLTA JTI Junior Tennis Championship 2019 at Punjab Lawn Tennis Academy, Bagh-e-Jinnah on Saturday.
Director Sports Shahid Nizami, Secretary PLTA and former Davis Cupper Rashid Malik, Assistant Director Raees ur Rehman and other officials were also present in the ceremony.
Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh also witnessed exciting tennis competitions and appreciated the skills of U-6, U-8 and U-10 players saying that Sports Board Punjab will utilize all of its resources to polish the skills of these young players.
Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh urged the young players to focus on their games. “These young players are our asset. They have great talent through which they can win several titles for the country in future,” he added.
Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh congratulated the triumphant players and encouraged the runners up at the closing ceremony.
Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh also distributed medals and certificates among the prominent male and female performers of different age group categories at the concluding ceremony.
The young participating players also had group photos with the chief guest Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh.
While talking to media on this occasion, Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh said Sports Board Punjab is going to hold junior tennis event next month at the state of the Art Tennis Stadium in Nishtar Park Sports Complex.
“We are trying our best to take all schools on board in our future sports events to provide maximum opportunities to players belonging to middle class”.
Earlier, Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh was warmly received by Punjab tennis officials upon reaching Punjab Lawn Tennis Academy, Bagh-e-Jinnah courts.
