LAHORE:Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh presided over an important Monthly Progress Meeting at National Hockey Stadium on Thursday. Director Admin Javed Chohan, Project Director PMU Akram Soban, Deputy Director Planning Rauf Bajwa and all Divisional Sports Officers attended the meeting.
The meeting was convened to review the development sports schemes across the province. The projects of hotel, parking plaza, museum, E-Libraries, Taunsa and Kasur stadium were also discussed thoroughly during the meeting. All Divisional Sports Officers also presented their performance report during the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh said the construction work will start shortly on SBP Sports School project. The concerned officers were issued directions to start construction work as early as possible. “Sports School project will be completed with the cost of Rs 300 million. The progress of construction work of the project will be assessed every week. We will enter a new era after the completion of Sports School project,” he added.
Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh further said that the young talented players will be provided modern sports facilities and this factor will play a key role in the development of sports in the province. “Sports Board Punjab is planning to organize next edition of one-month 6-game training camps of under-16 players in various cities of the province in near future”.
Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh also instructed All Divisional Sports Officers to complete their development sports projects in the stipulated period. All Divisional and District Sports Officers also thanked Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh on their upgradation.
