Four-member Standard Chartered Marathon 2020-bound athletics team met with Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti

LAHORE: The four-member athletics team which is due to
participate in Standard Chartered Marathon 2020 in Dubai, met with Punjab
Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti at National
Hockey Stadium on Monday.
The 4-member team includes Asmatullah Niazi, Amir Khan, Amir Shahzad and
Naseem Masih and the Standard Chartered Marathon 2020 will be organised in
Dubai from January 24. The 4-member team is accompanied by Divisional
Sports Officer Nadeem Qaiser and manager.

During the meeting, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor
Khan Bhatti urged the players to feature in Standard Chartered Marathon 2020
with a target to win the title. “It is best opportunity for our athletes to show their
talent at international level. The sports culture is growing in the country
gradually and the foreign teams are visiting Pakistan and our players are
participating in international events regularly”.
