LAHORE: The upcoming tour of Bangladesh cricket team is definitely a major development for the future of Pakistan cricket; Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh said this in a statement on Tuesday.
It is pertinent to mention here that Bangladesh cricket team will play three T20 International match at Gaddafi Stadium on January 24, 25 and 27, 2020 while an ODI and two Test matches will be played in two separate phases in February and April.
“The series against Bangladesh cricket team will also provide a golden chance to young and emerging cricketers of the country to show their cricket skills,” said Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh.
Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh said the tour of Bangladesh cricket team will obviously play a major role in restoring confidence of other top cricketing nations. We are quite confident that other leading cricket teams will also tour Pakistan in near future after the forthcoming key tour,” he added.
“International cricket has now literally been revived. Pakistan has hosted several international sports events including tours of Sri Lanka, Kenya, Zimbabwe, West Indies cricket teams besides hockey and cricket World XI trips during the last couple of years”.
The upcoming visit of Bangladesh cricket team is a clear message to the whole world that Pakistan is a safe country for international sports events. “The T20 and subsequent ODI and Test series against Bangladesh will be of great significance for the revival of international cricket and other sports events in the country”.
