Pakistani cricket team has always been reputed world over for quality fast bowlers along with best spin attack

Spinners like Abdul Qadir, Mushtaq Ahmed, Iqbal Qasim, Tausif Ahmed, Saqlain Mushtaq, Danish Kaneria and Saeed Ajmal made Pakistan proud world over

However for quite some time Pakistani spin bowling has not been impressive

Leg spinner Yasir Shah has not shown notable performance in recent past

Yasir Shah remained wicket-less after conceding 83 runs in 22 overs in first innings of Rawalpindi Test against Bangladesh

Earlier Yasir Shah’s bowling has not been impressive in Test series against South Africa, Australia and Sri Lanka

Leg break googly bowler Yasir Shah was born on 2nd May 1986 at Sawabi in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province of Pakistan

Yasir Shah made his Test debut on 22nd October 2014 against Australia at Dubai

Yasir Shah got 7 wickets in his debut Test and played a vital role in victory of Pakistan

Yasir Shah got 27 wickets in 5 Test matches in Year 2014

Yasir Shah continued his fine bowling display in Year 2015 as well and got 49 wickets in 7 Test matches

Yasir Shah’s performance was nice in Year 2016 as he picked up 46 wickets in 10 Test matches

In Year 2017 Yasir Shah was really at his peak with 43 wickets in just 6 Test matches

Yasir Shah also performed well in Year 2018 with 36 wickets in 6 Test matches

However 2019 was a disappointing Year for Yasir Shah as he could get just 6 wickets in 4 Test matches

If we cast a glance on last 3 Test series we find Yasir Shah quite helpless

In Centurion Test against South Africa Yasir Shah could get only one wicket

In Cape Town Test Yasir Shah was unable to pick even a single wicket

In Brisbane Test against Australia although Yasir Shah had 4 wickets but he conceded 205 runs

In Adelaide Test Yasir Shah conceded 197 runs and remained wicket-less

In Karachi Test against Sri Lanka Yasir Shah got 2 wickets for 127 runs

Yasir Shah’s continuous disappointing show is a matter of serious concern

High ups of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should take this matter seriously

Chief-selector and Head-coach Misbah-ul-Haq with huge monthly stipend worth 2.8 million Pakistani Rupees will also have to play his role

If Yasir Shah is facing some psychological issue, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) must engage a qualified psychologist for rectifying the problem

If Yasir Shah has bowling issues, famous leg spinner Mushatq Ahmed must be consulted

Leaving Yasir Shah at his own is disastrous not only for himself but the whole Pakistani team
