Pakistan Cricket Board to provide online coaching for players

Lahore:The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to provide online coaching for players due to the Corona lockdown.

Leading former cricketers will give tips to the players through video conferencing.

The great cricketers of the past including Javed Miandad and Wasim Akram, Rashid Latif, Moin Khan, Mohammad Yousuf, Younis Khan and Mushtaq Ahmed will conduct online sessions through video link in which they will help the players to use their time wisely during lockdown. Will inform

These sessions will continue in different categories, Javed Miandad, Mohammad Yousuf and Younis Khan will address 21 batsmen in 3 different sessions.

Similarly, Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar will give online lectures to 13 fast bowlers, Mushtaq Ahmed to 6 spinners while Moin Khan and Rashid Latif to 5 wicket keepers.

The series of online coaching will start from today in which ICC Hall of Fame member Javed Miandad will give his first online session in the afternoon.

 Wasim Akram will address the online session of fast bowlers on Tuesday, followed by Rashid Latif and Mushtaq Ahmed on Wednesday and Thursday in the wicketkeeper and spinner sessions respectively, while next week Muhammad Yusuf, Younis Khan Moin Khan and Shoaib. Akhtar will give tips.

In this regard, the head coach and chief selector of the national cricket team Misbah-ul-Haq said that we have to prepare with the England series in mind.

He said that most of these great players have been a part of Pakistan’s achievements in England so their experience will be useful in preparing the series for the current cricketers.

He said the topics discussed in the online sessions include work ethic, access to sports, planning, practice, how to perform in stressful situations and tackling challenges as a high profile player.
