The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has recently given central contracts to the players of the women’s cricket team, which will come into effect from July 1. The PCB has given central contracts to 9 players while the first Emerging category consisting of 9 players has also been introduced.

Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team Captain Bismah Maroof in an interview with a private TV channel said that the Pakistan Cricket Board has expressed confidence in her by retaining the captaincy. This confidence has encouraged her to meet the expectations of the board.
Bismah Maroof said that it has always been an honor to lead the team, there will be an effort to lead the team to further improvement and continuity in the performance of the team, new players are welcome to get central contracts, other players Umayya Sohail and Anam Amin were happy to get the central contract.
Bismah Maroof said that for the first time the emerging category has also been introduced which is commendable, it will encourage new players and also bring out new talent.
