New York :Most players from around the world have been opposed to holding the US Open tennis tournament in New York scheduled for August 31.

Serbia’s world number one tennis player Novak Djokovic says most players have a negative view of playing in New York.

“Players may prefer clay court tennis to the US Open. For the US Open, we will have to sleep at the airport hotel,” he said.

Novak Djokovic said: “We will have two or three Tests every week, it will be impossible to bring only one person to the club.

“Athletes need coaches, fitness trainers and physiotherapists all the time,” he said.

It should be noted that the US Open is scheduled for August 31, the future of the event is likely to be decided next week.
