Karachi:Former captain and wicketkeeper-batsman of Pakistan cricket team Sarfraz Ahmed says that he must have made some mistakes due to which he dropped out of the team but he will try not to repeat these mistakes.
Sarfraz Ahmed, who was sacked from the Pakistan team in October 2019 and dropped from the team, has been included in the 29-member squad for the tour of England.
Sarfraz Ahmed, 33, who joined the national squad after nine months , told the media that he was happy to be back in the national squad and would try his best to form wherever possible.
Sarfraz Ahmed said that after being the captain and regular member of the team, it is frustrating to be dropped like this, but the positive thing was that he got involved in domestic cricket and PSL, which kept him away from negative thoughts.
“Man makes mistakes, maybe I made mistakes too, which is why I got out of the team,” he added.
Sarfraz said that as a captain his priority and focus was overall performance but now I will be free from it and focus on my performance.
The former captain, who made Pakistan the number one T20 team and won the Champions Trophy, added that it did not matter that he would have to play as a normal player after being captain in the past.
Sarfraz Ahmed said that as a captain, he never intimidated the players and did not fly high.
He said that he has done a lot of work on his fitness by staying away from the team, no matter the first choice, or the second choice, where there is an opportunity, I will perform for the team and will try to do it again. Demonstrate to help secure a permanent place in the team.
He said that Rashid Latif and Moin Khan were also present in the team together in the past, which gives an opportunity for the team to perform better.
