Lahore:Pakistan cricket team’s opening batsman Fakhar Zaman has admitted that he had become quite overconfident in his career which affected his performance.
In an online conversation with reporters, Fakhar Zaman spoke openly about his career and admitted that excessive self-confidence has proved to be detrimental to him but it will not happen now.
Fakhar Zaman said that former cricket coach Mickey Arthur asked him to play with a free mind which gave him confidence and he became overconfident and stopped playing the ball on merit and tried to hit every ball.
Fakhar Zaman said that he has worked hard on himself in the last few days, he has worked on mental maturity more than skill work and when he returns to the field, he will be very proud.
Fakhar zman said that he estimates that the series against England is his low back series and the matches of this series are very important for his career, these matches can also decide his career so he will do his best to Perform well in the series and try to secure your place in the team once again.
He said that he would try to take advantage of Younis Khan’s presence in the team and would like to learn how to regain confidence after poor form.
