LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) CEO Waseem Khan has said that Muhammad Hafeez’s actions have brought the country into disrepute.
In a video conference from Lahore, PCB CEO Waseem Khan said that what Hafeez did wrong, because it brought him into disrepute, Hafeez is not included in the central contract but the code of conduct also applies to him.
Wasim Khan said that the PCB was following the protocol of the English Cricket Board (ECB). According to the ECB, a player coming to England should have two corona tests negative.
He said that Sohail Saleem had described the England tour as a high risk, but the risk would remain throughout the tour. The board’s job is to provide a safe environment for the players.
Wasim Khan said that before taking the Corona test, he had said that he would announce the results of the test, nothing would be kept secret.
