The Pakistan Cricket Board’s inspection team will inspect the venue today for the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches in Peshawar.
PSL 5 matches were successfully held for the first time at four venues in Pakistan, before that matches were held in Lahore and Karachi.
In the past, there has been a demand for holding PSL matches in Peshawar as well, on which Chairman PCB Ehsan Mani announced to hold Super League matches in Peshawar next season as well.
Preparations have intensified for the implementation of the announcement of the chairman of the cricket board regarding holding PSL matches in Peshawar.
According to sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board’s inspection team will inspect the Hayatabad Sports Complex on Tuesday, which includes representatives from all departments of the board.
The sources further said that the inspection team includes Zakir Khan, Head, International Cricket Department, Junaid Zia, General Manager, Domestic Cricket Department and representatives from PSL, Marketing, Media, Logistics and Infrastructure Departments.
All the members of the inspection team will review the venue and make recommendations on matters pertaining to their respective fields, after which significant progress is expected in the conduct of PSL matches.
Earlier, a PCB delegation had also visited Arbab Niaz Stadium last month where the delegation provided updates on ongoing development works.
PCB has announced to hold some matches of Pakistan Super League 2021 in Peshawar.
