Southampton Test drawn

The second Test between Pakistan and England in Southampton was drawn, giving the hosts a 1-0 lead in the series.

On the last day of the second Test match, hosts England declared the innings at 110 for 4, after which the two captains ended the match by mutual consent.

Rain also affected the match on the fifth and final day of the second Test, with the entire pre-lunch session and 1 hour and 40 minutes after the lunch break.

Then when the game started, England led the innings with 7 for 1, Dom Sable and Zack Crowley put on a 91-run stand for the second wicket.

Crowley was dismissed after playing an innings of 53 runs. Sabley also went to the pavilion after adding one run to the total score. He scored 32 runs. After scoring nine runs, Pope was dismissed by Yasir Shah.

When the last hour’s play began, English captain Joe Root declared the innings at 110 for 4, after which the match was declared over on the same score.

Muhammad Abbas took 2 wickets, Yasir Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi took 1.1 wickets each. Earlier, Pakistan had scored 236 runs in their first innings.

Winning the first Test gives England a 1-0 lead in the three-Test series.

The third and final Test between the two teams will be played in Southampton from August 21.
