Nance Peters won the eighth round of the Tour de France

The eighth stage of the Tour de France cycle race went to Nancy Peters, with Adam Yates retaining control of the Yellow Jersey.

In a thrilling contest, Nance Peter of France took first place in four hours, two minutes and 12 seconds.

But Yellow Jersey is still dominated by Britain’s Adams, who have a three-minute lead at number two.
