Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief executive Wasim Khan has complained that he came here in love with Pakistan cricket but could not get that love in return.
In an interview to an American newspaper, Wasim Khan said that I was personally attacked in Pakistan, my Urdu accent was criticized and my salary was also made an issue.
He said that he had come to change the setup of Pakistan cricket but perhaps the people of Pakistan were not ready to host him.
Wasim Khan revealed during the interview that there was a protest against him in the board meeting, my appointment was to be approved in the Quetta meeting but there was also a lot of noise.
He said that during this time, his wife called him crying and said that you are in the headlines of every TV channel. He told his wife not to worry, everything will be fine.
The PCB chief executive added that an attempt was being made to give the impression that he had been appointed at the behest of an influential person.
