28th National Special Person Sports Festival kicks off on September 24 in Peshawar

The 28th National Special Person Sports Festival, organized by the Directorate of Sports, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is kicking off in Peshawar from September 24 to 27, for which preparations have begun.

Athletes from all four provinces, Islamabad and Azad Kashmir are also participating in the festival. DG Sports Asfandyar Khan Khattak and Director Sports Operations Syed Thaqleen Shah have informed all the concerned associations that accommodation and food facilities will be provided to each team.

Each team should have ten players and two officials while the cricket team will consist of eight players. The teams will arrive in Peshawar on September 24 and the teams will return on September 27.

Focal persons have been nominated for the provinces by the Directorate of Sports

Zawar Noor and Ehsan Danish have been appointed as focal persons for KPK , Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan. Rizwan and Ejaz will be the focal persons for Punjab, Sindh, Islamabad and AJK, while Miss Komal Khan will be the focal person for Abbottabad. Zainab Barkat, Afshan Afridi, Habibullah for the visually impaired, Ehsanullah and Zardad Bulbul for the deaf and hard of hearing.

Events included in National Special Person Sports Festival include Cricket, Badminton, Table Tennis, Tug of War, Athletics, Wheel Race, Discus Throw Wheelchair, Standing, Discus Throw Wheelchair, Julian Throw, Shot Put, Powerlifting, Bodybuilding. Archery, Woodball, Bose Games, Wheelchair Basketball and many more.
