Karachi (Sports Reporter) the 5th National Bank President’s Cup T20 Intergroup Cricket Tournament has started due to the postponed matches of the event. In the first match played at UBL Sports Complex, Audit Spartan easily defeated ARG Gloryz by 93 runs while International Cricketer Athar Laiq awarded Usman Azhar Man of the Match for his smoky batting. Event Manager Anwar Farooqi, Salman Hussain Kazmi and others were present on the occasion. Audit Spartan won the toss and elected to bat first
scoring 172 for three in the allotted overs. Usman Azhar scored 99 off 55 balls with the help of three sixes and 13 fours. Muhammad Tabish scored 31 off 37 balls with the help of two fours. While Sarfraz Alam gave away 20 runs and dismissed two players. In reply, ARG Glory’s entire team will return for 79 runs except Jaffer Balti who scored 26 off 43 balls with the help of three fours. While Ali Imran gave 9 runs and 4 Mohammad Shoaib gave 7 runs and dismissed 3 players. In the second match, RBG Warriors defeated SBA Group by 8 wickets Saqib Zar was declared the best player.
SBA Group won the toss and elected to bat first and were all out for 124 in the allotted overs. Humayun Adil Khan and Mirza Saad Baig scored 26 and 21 runs respectively. In reply, RBG Warriors completed the required target of 2 wickets in 17.2 overs. Saqib Zar batted smoky and washed the bowlers of SBA group well and scored 87 off 32 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 14 fours. Scorer Jind Afzal and Syed Taimoor Alam while umpiring duties were performed by Asim Alvi, Nazir Butt, Muhammad Asghar and Waseem uddin.
