PESHAWAR: Tarkha club named the trophy of district inter club basketball championship. In the final match Tarkha club smashed its opponent Daag Ismail Khel club by 48-37 points. Member Provincial Assembly Somi Falak Niaz and Additional Dupty Commissioner Noor Wali Khan were cheif guest of the mega event who distrebuted cash and trophies among the winner and runner up players.
However, Murad Ali, Director Ground Project, Jamshed Baloch, District Sports Officer(DSO) Nowshehra, Din Muhammad, vice president basketball association, Raaj Mir Khan, general secretary and Naveed Khan, district president basketball association were also present on the occasion.
The tournament was organized under the supervision of DSO Nowshehra and in collaboration with district administration in which the players of 12 teams Cherat club, Daag Ismail Khel club, Tarkha, Pabbi, Jahangeerah and others local clubs participated. Tarkha and Daag Ismail Khel defeated their oppnents in seminal matches and qualified for the final.
Talking to media persons Somi Falak and Noor Wali Khan said that they would work hard to organize suck kind of sports activities for the youth in district Nowshehra . They added that the youth had much talent and they proud of their youth and would provide more oppertunities.
