Punjab Sports Minister has assured first ever stadium for the baseball game

Punjab Sports Minister Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti has assured first ever stadium for the Baseball game. The assurance was given to a joint delegation of Pakistan Federation Baseball and Punjab Baseball Association headed by Syed Fakhar Ali Shah.

Sheikh Mazhar Ahmed, Secretary General, Pakistan Baseball Federation, said that the President of the Federation, Syed Fakhar Ali Shah meets Punjab Sports Minister Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti in his office. During the meeting, Fakhar Shah briefed the Sports Minister of the efforts being made for the development and promotion of baseball. According to Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, the game of baseball is gaining immense popularity in Pakistan and especially in Punjab.

Syed Fakhar Shah told that Baseball has also been included in Inter-Board Sports. In which all the Education Boards of Pakistan are participating. For this reason, Baseball will now start at school and college level, which will provide young players for Pakistan’s youth, women’s and senior baseball teams.

Syed Fakhar Shah also told the Sports Minister that Pakistan ranks 5th in Asia and 27th in the world but there is no baseball stadium specified for the game. We have to hold baseball competitions in cricket and football grounds which greatly affects the development of baseball. If the Punjab government gives us a ground for baseball, it will be much better for our game and we can easily hold national and international competitions.

According to Sheikh Mazhar Ahmed, Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti was happy over the good standing of Pakistan at international level. He also congratulated Syed Fakhar Ali Shah on the inclusion of baseball in Inter-Board Sports. The Sports Minister assured his full support for a baseball stadium.
