Election of Peshawar badminton association on 20th January

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Badminton Association will hold election on 20th January (Wednesday) 2021. The election date was announced by the acting president of the association and national badminton player Salam Gul on Saturday while briefing the journalists. He said that they were going to take election in the light of the court decision, saying that the previous cabinet had completed its tenure and now it was need of the hour to conduct free, fair and transparent election. He informed that they had set a date for the registration of local badminton clubs and players with district Peshawar association. He further said that only registered clubd and players would use the right of suffrage on election day. He added that the election would be held under the supervision of District Sports Officer (DSO) Peshawar Tehseen Ullah. He requested the high ups of Directorate of Sports Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to take part in the electroal process as observers aimed at completing the franchise in a transparent way. He also requested to all the registered badminton clubs and players to make sure their participation in the election process.
