PESHAWAR: Abbottabad Pink won the Hazara Traditional Games Gali Danda while Kabaddi event Abbottabad Green and Kabaddi XI won the final match. President of Abbottabad Bar Association Jahangir Elahi Advocate, Director Sports Syed Thaqleen Shah, DSO Abbottabad Wasim Fazal, Former DG Sports Tariq Mahmood, District Youth Officer Bashir Masood, Secretary Provincial Kabaddi Association Syed Sultan Bari, Archiving of Traditional Games were present on the occasion.
Secretary and Senior Sports Journalist Tahir Munir Awan and Shaukat Hussain were also present. In the traditional games played in Abbottabad, men and women players from all over Hazara region including Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra, Turgar, Kohistan are participating. Chapan Chapai, Ankh Machuli, Getty Games, Gali Danda, Chandra, Mirgati, Petogram, Kabaddi and traditional music dance competitions.
In the final match of Gully Danda competitions held yesterday, the team of Abbottabad Pank won the honor of winning the Abbottabad Blue Cup.
In the semi-finals, Pank’s team defeated Blue and O’Reilly’s team defeated White. In the final of Kabaddi, Green Kabaddi team led by Tahir Munir Awan defeated Muhammad Shafiq XI by 30 points as against 27 points. On this occasion, the association won the Kohra Craft Trophy

Director Sports Syed Thaqleen Shah said that the main purpose of organizing these games is to provide sports environment to the youth in the province and especially in Hazara region and to promote sports. He said that the Directorate of Sports is fulfilling its vision.
