PESHAWAR: District badminton championship will be played in Peshawar 16 to 18 March. A large number of junior and veteran category players including men and women of district Peshawar Clubs will participate in this championship which will be held at Gymnasium, Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Coaching Center, Peshawar.
Preparations have been started by forming various committees for the success of this event. These views were expressed in a meeting chaired by District Peshawar Badminton Association President Asad Ghaffar the other day.
The meeting was also attended by senior vice president of the district association Mustafa Amjad, Farrukh Nadeem, secretary Salam Gul, finance secretary Fazal Subhan Malik Amir, Shakeel, Iftikhar and Hidayatullah among others.
President Asad Ghaffar said that he has made an excellent plan for the promotion of badminton and search for new talent in Peshawar and will continue to work under this plan with a teamwork.
He said that in this championship men’s singles, women’s singles including junior under 13 as well as veterans doubles competitions will be played. He said that the championship will be inaugurated by PSB Coaching Center Peshawar Director Pervez Ali and National Champion Murad Ali.
