Former Test off-spinner and Bangalore hero Tauseef Ahmed suffered a heart attack at a wedding party in Lahore on Sunday night, after which he was rushed to a local hospital.
Tauseef Ahmed has played 34 Tests and 70 ODIs for Pakistan. He also had a heart operation in Karachi two years ago.
Tauseef Ahmed rose to fame in 1986 in Sharjah with a single before Javed Mian Dad’s historic six. He has also been the national selector and junior coach. He was sacked by the PCB last year.
He made his Test debut against Australia in Karachi on February 27, 1980. His ODI debut was on March 31, 1982 against Sri Lanka.
