Important information for media attending HBL PSL 2022 matches in Karachi

The Karachi-leg matches of the HBL Pakistan Super League 2022 matches will be played at the National Stadium from 27 January to 7 February. Below is important information for media attending, following or covering these matches:

Event name

·         The official nomenclature of the tournament is HBL PSL. Media houses are instructed to use correct event nomenclature in all texts, headlines, and bulletins

Press box seating, overflow and accreditation

·         As per the NCOC decision, the press boxes will operate on a 25 per cent capacity. As such, the, PCB will accommodate journalists as per its pecking order/seniority in the press boxes

·         Remaining journalists will be accommodated in the overflow area that will be set-up in the Javed Miandad Enclosure. The following facilities will be available in the overflow area:

o    Wifi/LAN connection

o    Dinner/lunch boxes

o    Iceboxes with water/soft drinks

o    Power-points

·         Accreditation devises passes will be available for collection from Tuesday, 25 January. Media wishing to attend training sessions on Monday, can gain access by displaying their PCB 2021-22 domestic season pass

·         As per the Health and Safety Protocols, media will be allowed to enter or leave the venue either before the teams’ arrival or following their departure

Editorial services

·         During the course of the event, the following editorial content will be available for free download and editorial use

o    Bilingual match reports

o    Action photos, which will be available on a Google Drive (click here)

o    Training clips and brief player interviews

Usage of PCB digital content on social media

·         As per Article 14 of the Media Terms and Conditions, all digital content is the exclusive intellectual property of PCB and, unless expressly provided otherwise, no right, title or interest in or to any of the Digital Content is transferred, granted or licensed to any person/entity by access of the same.

·         All Digital Content is for editorial and non-commercial use only. No person/entity may use the Digital Content for any commercial purpose whatsoever without PCB’s express prior written consent.

Filming inside the venue

·         As per Article 9(a) of the Media Terms and Conditions, filming inside the venue on a match day by non-rights holding TV news channels on match-days is strictly prohibited. Any non-rights holding TV news channel breaching the regulation by airing footage filmed inside the venue, including from the spectator enclosures, will run the risk of their and/or their organisation’s accreditation passes being revoked.

·         As per Article 9(b) of the Media Terms and Conditions, the Non-Rights holding TV news channels are allowed to film inside the venue 0n non-match days. This includes filming of training sessions, pre-match media conferences and interviews and pieces to cameras.
