Lahore, 8 February 2022:

Media accreditation process for the Pakistan v Australia series is now open and journalists interested in covering the event can apply by filing a simple online form, which is available here. Last date for the submission of online applications is 5pm PKT on Tuesday, 15 February 2022.

Also attached are the series Media Terms and Conditions. By applying online for the series, it will be understood that the applicant has agreed and accepted the terms and conditions.

Australia will play Tests in Rawalpindi (4-8 March), Karachi (12-16 March) and Lahore (21-25 March), while the three ODIs and a T20I will be played in Rawalpindi from 29 March to 5 April.

Due to limited spaces in the media working areas and also taking into consideration that a sizeable number of foreign and visiting journalists will cover the historic tour, the pecking order below will be followed (please refer to the Media Terms and Conditions for more details):

a)      Two reporters and two photographers from international and local news agencies

b)      Two reporters and two photographers from leading national dailies

c)       One reporter and one photographer from world-renowned cricket websites

d)      One reporter and one photographer from regional/community dailies

e)       One reporter from Non-Rights Holding TV news and radio channels

f)        One reporter from weekly/monthly cricket magazines

g)      Bloggers/YouTubers/young websites (depending on space)

As per the PCB’s media rights protection policy, Non-Rights Holding (NRH) camerapersons will be accredited for the tournament, but only reporters will be able to access in-stadia media facilities as filming on match days is strictly prohibited unless approved by the PCB.

However, the NRH TV news channels will be allowed to film non-match day activities, including training sessions and recording of pieces to cameras.

The PCB, in its absolute discretion, may decline any request and also reserves its right to take action against any journalist found in breach of Pakistan v Australia series rights protection policy.
