PULLY, Switzerland — The World Baseball Softball Confederation (“WBSC”) announced today a multi-year Baseball World Cup® media rights partnership with Tokyo-based Hakuhodo DY media partners, Inc. (“Hakuhodo”) for the territory of Japan.
The seven-year agreement, which runs through 2028, exclusively awards Hakuhodo the media rights in Japan for all WBSC’s Baseball World Cups, including the U-23 Baseball World Cup, the U-18 Baseball World Cup, the U-15 Baseball World Cup, the U-12 Baseball World Cup and the Women’s Baseball World Cup. The partnership was realized through a joint effort by the WBSC and its commercial arm, BASE International S.A.

The WBSC and Hakuhodo first partnered in 2012 for the U-18 Baseball World Cup.
