ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 media accreditation to close on 18 July

The media accreditation application process for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia closes on Monday 18 July.

The 16-team World Cup takes place between 16 October and 13 November 2022 across seven venues in Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.

 

The portal will close at 13h00 GMT/ 17h00 Dubai time/ 18h30 IST/ 23h00 Australian Eastern Standard Time on 18 July 2022 and is open for written press, photographers, non-rights holding (NRH) TV and radio broadcasters.

Media application information

Media will be required to register an individual application and provide the following information:

  • A passport style colour headshot photograph. Only photographs which follow the dimensions below will be accepted
  • Letter of approval/assignment from your editor/commissioning editor to work on the Men’s T20 World Cup 2022
  • A sample of your work covering the cricket from your last ICC event*
  • Passport
  • Australian citizens and residents only – where a Passport cannot be provided, an Australian Drivers Licence may be used as an acceptable form of identification. You will also be asked to select the league matches you intend to cover

*If you have not attended previous ICC events or covered home internationals but believe your circumstances warrant media accreditation, then please apply and the ICC will give due consideration to your request.

 

NOTE: All documents and information must match the details provided within the required data fields in the application and must also be supplied as per the following:

  • Be of high quality and clearly legible
  • Be no more than 2MB in size
  • In colour with a plain background
  • As a jpeg (.jpg), Png (.png), or PDF (.pdf).

 

COVID-19

The International Cricket Council is committed to delivering a safe and secure event for all participants and as a result media will be required to adhere to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 Biosecurity Requirements and the Australian Government’s entry requirements to Australia.

 

The Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 will be planned to be operating a ‘health safe environment’ where individuals participating in the event take personal responsibility for managing their own health and safety to prevent the transmission of COVID 19 and the infection of participants and host nation communities, this includes all accredited media. All accredited personnel who will be in contact with participants will need to be vaccinated and proof of vaccination will be required to attend the tournament.

 

The Biosecurity Requirements (as defined in the relevant accreditation terms and conditions) are in place owing to COVID-19 and through the acceptance of the accreditation terms and conditions, all applicants agree to comply with these protocols, failing which their accreditation may be revoked.

Those who are current working members of the media and have covered one of the following ICC Events will be eligible for media accreditation to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022:
