Canada win FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series Edmonton Stop 2022

EDMONTON (Canada) –  Canada won their first Women’s Series Stop of the year at the Edmonton Stop on July 29-30.

Just one month after claiming silver at the Crelan FIBA 3×3 World Cup 2022, Canada won their first Women’s Series event of 2022 in front of their home fans at the Edmonton Stop defeating USA 21-17 in the final. Michelle Plouffe led the Canadians in the final with 13 points, including the game-winner. Linnae Harper was USA’s top scorer in the title game with 10 points.

Michelle Plouffe, who was named MVP of the competition, finished as top scorer of the event with 43 points, 10 more than Linnae Harper, who was second in the scoring charts.

This is the first FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series win for Canada since 2019, when they also won in Edmonton.
