Following the announcement of the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup groups and official schedule, all members of the media, both local/national and international, can now apply for accreditation using the official WBSC Media Accreditation online platform at my.wbsc.org.
The deadline to register is Tuesday, 6 September.
The accreditations procedure starts by clicking on MEDIA ACCREDITATIONS. The online form needs to be completed, including also a headshot. Once the request is submitted, media members will receive an automated confirmation e-mail and will be able to check the status of their request:

Click on “Media Accreditations”
Click on “Search for your accreditations”
Enter name, last name and email address (the same used in the request).
A list of the accreditation requests will appear.
Approved media will receive additional onsite logistical details (i.e., where to pick up credentials, facility access, press conferences, media interview opportunities).
Holders of media accreditation will be granted access to media stands and the media centre.
The WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup will take place from 9-18 September in Sarasota’s Ed Smith Stadium and Bradenton’s LECOM Park in Florida, USA.
Baseball’s 30th U-18 World Championship will be contested over 50 games, with the world’s best youth baseball players and teams to compete over nine days of competition.
The 12 teams have been split into two groups to open the tournament:
- Group A: World No. 5 USA, No. 3 Korea, No. 8 Netherlands, No. 12 Canada, No. 25 Brazil and No. 26 South Africa.
- Group B: World No. 1 Japan, No. 2 Chinese Taipei, No. 4 Mexico, No. 10 Australia, No. 13 Panama and No. 17 Italy.
The top three teams from Group A will play the top three teams from Group B in the Super Round from 15-17 September, with the top two teams meeting ‘For the Title of World Champion’ on Sunday, 18 September.
GUIDELINES FOR NON-RIGHTS HOLDING (“NRH”) MEDIA
- Only rights holders of applicable games may transmit game footage (audio and/or video) of WBSC events.
- NRH media credentials provide access to games, and any Opening/Closing Ceremonies. NB: Access will be granted subject to local health guidelines and regulations.
- Credentials will be granted by specific category (i.e., Press, Photographer, Radio, and TV), and stadium access will be granted accordingly.
- Photographers and NRH TV crew will be required to wear WBSC-issued media vests.
