Pakistan’s international tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq called on Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Taimoor Masood at National Hockey Stadium here on Wednesday.
On this occasion, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Taimoor Masood appointed Aisam-ul-Haq as the Goodwill Ambassador of the Punjab government and also presented him a souvenir. Director Admin Syed Omair Hasan was also present on this occasion.
Talking on this occasion, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Taimoor Masood said definitely the game of tennis is identified in Pakistan through the name of Aisam-ul-Haq. “Punjab government will fully patronize Ace Tennis Academy established by Aisam-ul-Haq in Lahore. The players of this academy will also train in the newly-built tennis courts adjacent to Punjab Tennis Stadium,” the minister added.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Taimoor Masood said Aisam-ul-Haq is a role model for young tennis players of the country. “We are working for the betterment and promotion of tennis sport in Pakistan. A special programme of tennis talent hunt will also be started in Punjab in near future”.
