MONTREAL (Canada) – The FIBA 3×3 World Tour 2020 winners Riga (LAT) finally claimed their first success of the season on the pro circuit at the Montreal Masters on September 3-4, 2022.
The Latvians defeated Sakiai Gulbele (LTU) 19-17 in a thrilling all-Baltic final. It was the first time this year that Riga were able to have their four Olympic champions on the roster. Their star player Karlis Lasmanis led the scoring charts in Montreal and was named MVP. He had a game-high 8 points in the final. Aurelijus Pukelis scored 7 for Sakiai Gulbele in the losing effort.
In the individual contests, Steve Sir (Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy , MGL ) took home the Wilson Shoot-Out Contest, while Jordan Southerland (USA) won the Podium Dunk Contest.
