LAHORE (Nov 9, 2022): Taking another key step Youth Affairs and Sports Department Punjab will provide top class sports training, coaching and other relevant facilities to under-trainee officers of Civil Services Academy (CSA).
In this regard, Youth Affairs and Sports Department Punjab and Civil Services Academy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at Civil Services Academy on Tuesday.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Ehsan Bhutta, Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, Director General Civil Services Academy Omer Rasool, Additional Secretary Sanaullah, Directors Civil Services Academy Ms Ayesha Zarin, Mr Asim and other officials were also present at the occasion.
Talking on this occasion, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Ehsan Bhutta said that around 200 probationary officers took training in the highest training academy of civil servants every year. “Besides their highest professional training, these officers must also focus on their physical health and it could be possible only through featuring in regular sports activities”.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Ehsan Bhutta further said that Civil Services Academy will arrange multiple training courses for trainee officers with an aim to update their knowledge and skills in management, sports science and doping issues etc. “Youth Affairs & Sports Department Punjab and Sports Board Punjab will extend every kind of technical help to Civil Services Academy in the carrying out these valuable courses,” he elaborated.
He informed that Youth Affairs & Sports Department Punjab and Sports Board Punjab will also provide all out help to under training officers not only in Civil Services Academy but other training academies like MPDD, QAED, NSPP etc.
Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi on this occasion said that the under training officers can play an important role in the promotion of sports after their deployment. “There is no doubt that the progress and uplift of any country is closely linked to development of sports and that’s why we need to promote sports culture as much as possible in our country,” he added.
Director General Civil Services Academy Omer Rasool expressed his gratitude to Sports and Youth Affairs Department Punjab for conducting sports courses for under-training officers. “Sports and Youth Affairs Department Punjab is taking effective measures for the growth of true sports culture across the province,” he added.
