“Hockey Trials for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Team to Take Place Tomorrow in Peshawar”
Peshawar , Hockey trials for the National Games in Quetta are set to take place in Peshawar tomorrow, April 26th. Athletes who have registered for the trials will be evaluated by a five-member committee starting at 11 am. The trials
will be held at Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium and are open to players from across the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The committee’s goal is to select the most talented and skilled players for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team, which will
represent the province at the National Games. Priority will be given to players participating in the Pakistan Hockey Camp, followed by players participating in the National Junior or Junior Hockey Camp. Additionally, players who have excelled in national competitions played in the province will also be considered.
Yasir Islam, Zia-ur-Rehman Banuri, and Waqas, all international players, will join Hidayatullah Afridi and Syed Zahir Shah from the Hockey Association to supervise the selection of the team. The committee is determined to choose the best players for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team, ensuring they are well prepared for the National Games.
