Peshawar – Syed Aqil Shah, President of Olympic Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, announced that the Director General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khalid Khan, will be the Chief of Mission of the KP contingent at the National Games. Shah made the announcement during the first trials of hockey at the Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium in Peshawar, where he praised the young players participating from all over the province.
During the event, Shah also highlighted the accommodation problem in Quetta, which led to the decision to phase the National Games. Shah emphasized the importance of sportsmanship and good performance, referring to the recent loss of Pakistan’s team against China. The crowd at the hockey stadium laughed at his remarks, showing their support for the upcoming KP contingent.
The event was attended by KP Olympic Association Secretary Zulfiqar Butt, Hockey Association members Saeed Khan, Syed Zahir Shah, Hidayatullah, and members of the selection committee. The players who came from all over the province welcomed Shah with applause upon his arrival.
