Pakistan Sports Board to send committee to inspect Peshawar’s Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium
Peshawar, Pakistan- In response to concerns raised about the astro-turf at the Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium, the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has formed a five-member committee, including the President of the Hockey Association Syed Zahir Shah. Assistant Director of PSB, Irshad Ahmed, contacted Shah last day to inform him that a four-member committee will visit the stadium in Peshawar next week.
During the call, Ahmed and Shah discussed the need for a detailed discussion on the security measures in place on the hockey turf, as well as an inspection of the grounds. A detailed report will be prepared and submitted to the PSB

The concerns about the astro-turf were raised after the PSB received complaints about the quality of the turf laid by its contractor. To address the issue, the PSB formed a committee to inspect the stadium and ensure that the quality of the turf meets the required standards.
