PESHAWAR, Pakistan – The Provincial Sports Directorate has failed to take action in disposing of its debris, leading to a disturbing situation for athletes and residents near the Peshawar Sports Complex. The burnt pumpers of the residential quarters’ employees, along with the grass, garbage, and dirt of the grounds, are causing environmental pollution and an unpleasant smell.
Despite the concern, the administration of the Provincial Sports Directorate has not made any arrangements for debris disposal. The grass and dirt are being set on fire near the residential area, which is not only harmful to the athletes but also to the health of the residents.
On top of that, the dirt on the way to food and drink stalls outside the Provincial Sports Directorate is affecting the public’s health. Unfortunately, neither the officials of the Cantonment Board Peshawar nor the Provincial Sports Directorate seem to take the matter seriously.
The negligence of the Provincial Sports Directorate in the proper disposal of debris is a severe environmental issue that requires immediate action. It is crucial to ensure the safety and health of the athletes and the residents.
