Khyber Pakhtunkhwa karaty team trials to be held on May 2, selection committee established
Peshawar – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa karate team trials for the upcoming 34th National Games in Quetta will be held on May 2 at the Hayatabad Sports Complex.
A three-member selection committee, under the supervision of Shah Faisal, has been established to select both male and female players for the team.
During the trials, players will be evaluated for seven different categories of men’s individual kata, ranging from 50 kg to more than 84 kg, and for female athletes from 45 kg to 65 kg. The best players will be selected from the six different categories, and a training camp will also begin at the Hayatabad Sports Complex following the selection.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa karaty team is preparing vigorously for the National Games, and the trials are expected to be highly competitive. The team is confident in their abilities and looking forward to representing their province at the national level.
The establishment of the selection committee under the supervision of Shah Faisal is being welcomed by the karate community, as it is expected to ensure transparency and fairness in the selection process.
