Illegal Promotions and Appointments Unveiled in KPK Sports Directorate: Former DG Sports Under Scrutiny
Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – Shocking revelations have emerged regarding illegal promotions and appointments of preferred individuals across various locations within the Sports Directorate. The scandal came to light after it was discovered that the Annual Confidential Report (ACR) was not even signed by the relevant officers. Notably, these irregularities occurred during the last three months of the former Director General of Sports’ tenure, specifically impacting Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium.
Despite the restrictions imposed within the provincial sports ministry, unlawful promotions and appointments have been exposed, including the placement of favored individuals in different positions. Alarming reports suggest that the appointed personnel deliberately concealed these actions initially to secure their legality, preventing any potential legal challenges. Sources within the Sports Directorate claim that individuals involved in these promotions have also been elevated in various districts, including Peshawar.
It is concerning that some individuals were promoted without even completing the mandatory probation period, rendering their appointments questionable. The appointed senior officers themselves seem to be unaware of the criteria based on which these promotions were granted. The absence of signed ACRs further raises doubts about the legitimacy of these advancements. These controversial decisions were allegedly made by the former Director General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in his final three months in office, with the truth only surfacing after his departure.
